Our Children's Ministry is dedicated to nurturing young hearts and minds in the ways of Christ. We provide age-appropriate teaching, activities, and worship for children from infants through pre-teens — creating a foundation of faith that will last a lifetime.

Principles & Guidelines
Main Objective:
To disciple and help families disciple children.
Core Values:
- Christ-centered focus in all activities and teachings
- Active partnership with parents in spiritual nurture
- Scripture-based curriculum firmly rooted in God's Word
- Age-appropriate teachings based on development stages
- Loving, welcoming atmosphere for all children
To be considered for volunteer service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (13–17 year olds may serve as Teen Helpers with approval)
- Be a regular attendee at CEFC for at least 6 months
- Read and agree to all policies and procedures
We conduct appropriate background checks consistent with Kenya state laws for anyone involved in Children's Ministry, including:
- Criminal history check
- Child Abuse History check
- Sex offender registry check
Volunteers must disclose any arrest or conviction within 72 hours to the Lead Pastor.
New members undergo a 3-month probationary period during which they:
- Attend practice sessions
- Purchase all required uniforms
- Understand all policies and protocols
Active ministry begins at the discretion of church leadership after this period.
Appropriate Affection
- Brief or side hugs
- Pats on the shoulder or back
- Handshakes, high fives, fist bumps
- Verbal praise
Inappropriate Affection
- Inappropriate or lengthy embraces
- Kissing
- Holding children over 3 on the lap
- Any form of unwanted affection
Definition of Child Abuse:
- Physical abuse: Serious injury or risk of injury
- Physical neglect: Prolonged lack of supervision or care
- Mental injury: Chronic anxiety, depression, or social withdrawal
- Sexual abuse: Any form of sexual exploitation or assault
Reporting Procedure:
- Report all incidents immediately to church leadership
- Document date, time, location, and details
- Take pictures to document abuse if necessary
In case of injury:
- Do not administer medical help beyond band aids
- Notify your immediate supervisor right away
